Bring it On Synopsis
Bring it On tells the tale of Campbell - Truman High’s newly elected head cheerleader in her senior year. The pressure is on, and Campbell is determined to fulfill her lifelong destiny: leading her squad to victory at Nationals! But with a sudden redistricting notice, Campbell’s world comes crashing down as she is forced to attend rival school Jackson High. Alone, and without her squad to catch her, Campbell’s rocky start at Jackson leaves her questioning everything she thought she was born do to.
Bring It On is an empowering story of self-identity, and tackles the many pressures students experience while pursuing their dreams. Filled with humour, sass and sweat, Bring It On’s themes of resilience and being true to oneself will resonate with students and their families. Bring It On was adapted from the movie franchise into this Broadway hit by Andy Blankenbuehler, the choreographer of HAMILTON with music and lyrics by Hamilton's creator, Lin Manuel-Miranda. |
